olivhealth
Olivhealth, hospital management, reimagined.
For ophthalmology and optometry

Eye records that keep both eyes straight

Refraction, acuity and per-eye findings recorded properly over time — with a vision therapy programme module no other clinic system ships.

Eye practice is a measurement practice. The value is not in one reading but in the series: how this eye’s refraction moved over four visits, what the acuity was before and after. OlivHealth records eye findings per eye and keeps the series readable, and it is the only clinic system in this bracket that also ships a vision therapy module — so orthoptic work is part of the record rather than a notebook in a drawer.

Right and left get recorded as one blur
Findings are captured per eye on a form built for ophthalmology, so a comparison across visits is a comparison, not an act of interpretation.
Refraction history lives on old spectacle slips
Every refraction sits on the patient’s chart in sequence, so the trend is visible in the consulting room without asking the patient what their last power was.
Vision therapy runs outside the system entirely
Therapy programmes and baseline assessments are a module in the same product, assigned to the same patient, with sessions recorded against their chart.
Optical sales sit in a separate register
Frames and lenses are stock with batches and GST, billed against the same visit, so the optical counter is part of the practice rather than beside it.

Per-eye charting

Forms that record right and left separately, so acuity, refraction and findings read correctly at a glance.

Refraction over time

The series of readings on one chart, which is what actually informs the next prescription.

Vision therapy module

Assign therapy programmes and record sessions against the patient, with baseline assessments including acuity, Worth four-dot and stereoacuity.

Optical stock

Frames, lenses and solutions held as stock with batches, pricing and GST, dispensed against the visit.

High-volume OPD

A live token queue and multi-station flow, which is what a camp-heavy or screening-heavy eye practice actually runs on.

Follow-up reminders

WhatsApp and SMS reminders for reviews and therapy sessions, sent from the appointment rather than from memory.

ABDM — included as standard

Go live ABDM-enabled from day one

Every practice we onboard goes live ABDM-enabled — create and verify a patient’s ABHA at registration, and let their records follow them across the health system on their consent. It’s part of onboarding, not a separate project or an extra module to buy.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly does the vision therapy module do?

It lets you assign structured therapy programmes to a patient, run exercise sessions, and record baseline assessments such as acuity, Worth four-dot and stereoacuity against their chart. The exercises are a supportive, engagement-oriented tool used under your supervision — the clinical judgement stays yours.

Does it suit an optometry practice as well as an ophthalmologist?

Yes. Refraction-led optometry work, the optical counter and therapy programmes are all covered, and you can leave the modules you do not need switched off.

Can I run eye camps and screenings through it?

Yes. High-volume registration with a token queue and multiple stations is the normal OPD flow, which is close to how a camp runs.

Is the optical shop billed differently from consultation?

Yes. Consultation is typically exempt and raises a Bill of Supply, while frames and lenses are taxable and raise a Tax Invoice. The system picks the right document from the service.
